Title: Hamburger menu for a Webplus mobile site
Post by: Lon in NWArkansas on September 23, 2017, 11:38:21 AM
I can see that we've not had a whole lot of action on the forum of late.  However, taking a chance that someone might be looking, I need a "hamburger" for a WebPlus mobile site I'm working on.  Anybody got one, or a good tip for developing one?

TIA

EDIT:  Nevermind.  I found one in the WP Pro Templates.

Hi Lon,

Would not a quick shape with three lines in it, linked to an hidden panel containing a menu not suffice?

Can't really think of any other options really, Webplus related unless there is one within one of the templates

For others who may wish to do this, here is how to do it.

I think the easiest option in WebPlus is to add a hamburger menu icon to your header and hyperlink it to a panel in which you create the menu. You can have the panel appear on mousover and disappear on mouse out. However, if it's for mobile use, you should set the action to mouse click to reveal the panel and mouse click outside the icon to close it.

Attached is a suitable icon that you can use. If you need to change the colour from grey, just open it in an image editing app and use the recolour option - basically, make a colour selection using the grey colour and then use the paint bucket tool to fill the selection with a new colour. Be sure to save out the new icon as a png in order to keep the transparent background.

You can't apply actions to a group of quickshapes unless you opt to export them as a single graphic.

I think it should be possible to use JavaScript to move page content down to reveal the hamburger's navbar.
